PUSONG PINOY'S HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP TURNOVER CEREMONY AT DE LA SALLE LIPA

The Pusong Pinoy League of Superheroes continues to bask in the afterglow of its recent anniversary celebration and takes this opportunity to thank everyone for the anniversary greetings. Thanks for celebrating an important milestone with us!

Our celebration was made more meaningful by the fact that it coincided with the turnover ceremony at De La Salle Lipa in Batangas. If you will recall, Pusong Pinoy launched a scholarship project Donasyon Para sa Edukasyon (Donation for Education) last January as part of our ongoing efforts to fight poverty through education. This scholarship is for DLSL's Saint Brother Jaime Hilario FSC Learning Community, a five year program that provides secondary education to highly motivated and qualified students whose economic conditions hinder them to acquire quality academic formation. Click HERE to read more about this scholarship project.

In a matter of 24 hours after launching this project, we exceeded our original goal of sponsoring 10 students. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to collect P85,000 to sponsor 17 students for one school year at DLSL.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF OUR VERY OWN PUSONG PINOY CTL JAY

On May 15, 2010, our very own Hong Kong & China Charter Team Leader ANGEL JAY MARTINEZ celebrated his birthday by sponsoring a luncheon for 180 kids of Parish Social Action Committee (PSAC) at San Lorenzo Banay-Banay, Lipa City.

The kids celebrated CTL Jay 's birthday with food and games. They also received goodie bags containing toys, candies, ballpens, and pencils. What a way to celebrate his special day!

Pusong Pinoy commends LIZA DE JESUS and the entire volunteers that make up PSAC of San Vicente Ferrer Parish Church in Lipa City for their tireless acts of kindness and generosity towards less privileged families around their area.

If you would like to celebrate your birthday in a grand way like CTL Jay, please send us an email or contact the Team Leader in your area.

PUSONG PINOY'S PROJECT ALAY MULA SA PUSO (GIFT FROM THE HEART)

Poster by LANCE BUCOY (Philippines-Quezon City Team Leader)

Imagine going through a schoolyear with no paper and pencil. That's how desperate the need is for so many children for basic school necessities. To respond to this need, Pusong Pinoy has launched another major project - ALAY MULA SA PUSO (Gift from the Heart). In this project, we are collecting donations for school supplies which will benefit more than 500 children from the Mangyan Tribes in Mindoro, Damascus Foundation in Bulacan, and Kabuyao Elementary School in Benguet.

Please be advised that Gusing Elementary School in Ilocos Sur and Kids for Christ in Cebu will no longer be recipients of this project. It came to our attention that another benefactor has stepped in to donate their much-needed school supplies at this time. We are extremely happy for them and we wish them all the best!

We are once again calling on all HEROES to help! Please show your support for these underprivileged children by making a donation today. Your cash donation will go towards the purchase of these much-needed school supplies. We will also gladly accept in-kind donations.
